Relocating An Entire Factory: Moving Services You Need

Posted on

When you want to relocate an entire factory, including every piece of equipment and every brick. you have a tall moving order ahead of you. This is not only going to require locals movers for office relocation, but also specialty movers. Here are the moving services you will need, as well as a few other services unrelated to movers.

Office Relocation

First things first- hire local business relocation services. These folks pack up all of your office equipment, supplies and furniture and move it to the location you have requested. If you need to put all of this stuff in storage until the "new" factory is constructed, the movers will do that too.

Plant Disassembly and Factory Equipment Movers

Next, you will need people who can disassemble large pieces of factory equipment, or at the very least, detach them from their current positions. These big to enormous pieces of equipment are then loaded onto a flatbed moving truck, tied down and secured, and moved to the location of your choice. By disassembling and removing your factory equipment second, you will be able to remove the building last and not damage any equipment in the process.

Particularly large pieces of equipment may need "wide load" flatbed trailers, but the specialty movers will be able to assess this situation prior to removing and moving the equipment. That also requires extra escort vehicles to clear a path in front of and behind this particular flatbed moving truck. Expect to pay extra for any "wide load" moving services.

Construction Workers to Disassemble the Plant's Building

You will also need to hire construction workers to carefully break down the plant, brick by brick, and stack all of the building's parts on pallets and on flatbed trailers. Now is the time to assess the parts and components of the factory to see if anything should be replaced (e.g., windows, doors, locks, insulation, wooden components, etc.). Make note of what needs to be replaced so that your construction contractor can purchase these replacement materials and install them during the reconstruction of the plant at the new location.

More Flatbed and Semi Trailer Movers

Heavier materials from the deconstruction of the factory can be palleted and loaded onto a flatbed. Other materials, such as doors, windows, etc., can be loaded into semi trailers. If the construction contractor does not offer this service, have the moving company bring their trucks and vehicles to the old property for loading. Once the construction crew has loaded everything, then the movers can take the old factory building materials to the new location and deposit the loads there.
